A Juggernaut of Detail, But a Beast to Assemble

I recently picked up the Akudokuou - The Juggernaut of Mount Osore Diorama, and the sculpting is absolutely phenomenal. Blackforge Games has truly outdone itself with the design. The model has an incredible sense of scale and presence, and the sheer amount of detail—from the demonic features to the rugged textures—is breathtaking. It's a fantastic centerpiece and a perfect representation of the "Juggernaut" name.

That said, the assembly process was far more challenging than I anticipated. The number of separate pieces for the armor, in particular, felt unnecessarily complex. While it allows for high-detail printing, it created a significant hurdle during assembly. It was difficult to get all the tiny, individual armor plates to fit perfectly and seamlessly on the main body.

My main frustration, however, was with the sheer volume and placement of the supports. They were everywhere, and often placed in very awkward, hard-to-reach spots. This made the post-processing a real chore. I spent hours carefully snipping away supports and then trying to sand down the residue without damaging the intricate details of the sculpt. The clean-up process was a major bottleneck and really took the fun out of putting this incredible model together.

Ultimately, this is a beautiful and inspiring model, but the journey from box to finished piece was a difficult one. I think a more consolidated approach to some of the smaller parts and a more strategic placement of supports would greatly improve the building experience. The quality of the sculpt is undeniable, but the process of getting it to the display shelf was a real test of patience. I hope this feedback is helpful for future designs.
